Barnesville Man Remains Jailed
At a Preliminary Hearing Tuesday, Western Division Court Judge Eric Costine remanded Sandy Ridge resident Douglas Ryan Johnston to jail without bond on three charges related to an accident in Wayne Township on Nov. 5.
At that time, the defendant was charged with his 11th OVI along with two other charges related to the accident.
Assistant Prosecutor Joshua Norman represented the state at the hearing according to Western Division court records. Johnston, who appeared via Zoom, was represented by public defender council Lane Hanlon.
The preliminary hearing is continued to December 16, 2025, at 1:15 p.m. after the Belmont County Grand Jury date of December 3, according to the court entry.
