Tree Lights up Belmont
Beverly Yoe, councilwoman and longtime teachers aide at Belmont Elementary, flipped the switch to light the community Christmas tree at Belmont on Dec. 6.
In addition to Yoe, Belmont Mayor Ron Woods took part in the festivities wearing orange flannels and sitting on Santa’s lap. Also taking part were children of the community.
The tree is located on the site of the former B & O Railroad bridge on South Bridge and Railroad streets. It will remain lighted through the holiday season.
