Education Foundation Awards Instructor Grants

Thursday evening, the Barnesville Board of Education officially accepted funds totaling $38,851.86 for instructor grants approved by the Barnesville Area Education Foundation this fall. 

Of the grants approved, three totaling $1,735.89 were funded out of the Hanlon Fund (officially the Hanlon Memorial Grant), a specific educational fund within the larger organization, established by a bequest from BHS grad Thomas “Tap” Hanlon to support special educational needs.

A total of 16 grants were approved. They are:

  • Lisa Gallager: H.S. E-Sports Gaming Stations –$8,600.00
  • Angie Fisher: Second Grade Science Kit – $1,345.00
  • Cade Hannahs: H.S. Science Equipment – $1,947.13
  • Marisa Duvall: Fifth Grade Science Lazer Games/Equipment – $1,370.07
  • Jennifer Elerick/Stacy Wells: Speech Therapy Communication Banners – $325.00*
  • Alesa Stephens: Sixth Grade Novels – $1,000.00
  • Stephanie Miller: Fourth Grade Book Club Books – $160.00
  • Brianna Holskey: Middle School Robotics-Parts, Fees, etc. – $3,664.64
  • Sarah Vincenzo: Elementary K-4 Sensory items – $1,000.00*
  • Sixth Grade Teachers: Stylus for I-pads – $269.70
  • Mindy Acton: Second Grade Books, Stools, Seating – $989.34
  • Bridget Brooks: Pre-School Intervention-Sensory – $600.00
  • Erin Hannahs: Pre-School Books, Shelf Storage – $1,050.00
  • Jamie Bauman: Elementary Task Boxes Special Education – $410.98*
  • Devin Blair/Heather Eberhart: High School Spring Musical – $10,000.00
  • Devin Blair: Music Stands, Chairs, Carts – $6,120.00
