Tonight’s Military Appreciation Event is On
The annual Military Appreciation Night at Barnesville High School is still on, Brad Hannahs, Barnesville Athletic Director, confirmed Friday morning.
Members of the military and military veterans will be recognized in the Barnesville High School gymnasium as the Barnesville Shamrock varsity boys basketball team hosts the Shadyside Tigers.
The reserve game gets underway at 6 p.m. Recognition will take place prior to the varsity contest.
Friday’s classes were canceled in the Barnesville District and throughout the region; the fifth consecutive day instruction was called due to the lingering effects of last weekend’s storm and this week’s bitter cold temperatures.
