Della Mae (Davis) Mellott

Della Mae Mellott, 88, formerly of Beallsville, Ohio, passed away Monday, March 2, 2026 at New Martinsville Health and Rehabilitation Center.  She was the widow of Glenn Frank Mellott, who passed away in 2019.  They shared 63 years of marriage together.

Born July 24th, 1937 near New Castle, Ohio, she was the daughter of Monford and Edna Davis and was preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings.

Della was a member of the East Sunsbury Baptist Church near Beallsville, Ohio.  She was a devoted wife and homemaker who enjoyed spending time with family.  She will be remembered for her love of journaling and many humorous sayings.

She is survived by four children: son, Ronald Mellott and his wife, Janet, daughter, Mary (Mellott) King and her husband, James, son, Donald Mellott, and daughter, Terri Mellott, as well as six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation and funeral services will be held in her memory Friday, March 6 at Wilson Funeral Home-Harper Chapel in Beallsville, Ohio. Visitation will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. immediately followed by the funeral service at 4 p.m.   Della will be laid to rest next to her husband, Glenn in the Beallsville Cemetery. 

Honoring Della’s giving spirit, her family requests that in lieu of flowers and keepsakes, memorial contributions be made to East Sunsbury Baptist Church, 50595 Bolon Ridge Road, Beallsville, Ohio 43716.
