Friday, February  27, 2026

1:57 am – Bond Drive, Belmont. Juveniles seen in the area of ODOT Garage. Youths fled but may be on their way back to the scene. Deputies checked area businesses for youth but no contact made.

8:11 am – Belmont. Caller reports a man driving a dually truck drove into car wash destroying the machine.

9:22 am – Reco Road, Belmont. Abandoned vehicle at Love’s. Vehicle is clear. Business will have the vehicle towed.

10:59 pm – Glencoe-Whitney Road, Smith Twp. Deputy assisting return of vehicle that was used without authorization.

4:46 pm – Barkcamp Road 14.  Deputies on BOLO for a male wanted by the Martins Ferry Police. Suspects phone is “pinging” in the area.

8:34 pm – Irwin Street, Lafferty. Deputy on location to file theft report.

8:41 pm – Havenwood Drive, Morristown. Special Detail for welfare check on couple. All is well. They’ve experienced phone issues the past 24 hours.

8:46 pm – Lafferty Road, Lafferty. Vehicle stopped for traffic offense. The driver was lost looking for USPS store. Directions provided.

Saturday, February 28, 2026

5:13 am – National Road, Morristown. Male experiencing cardiac arrest. Squad called. Transported to Barnesville Hospital.

4:34 pm – Reservoir Road, Flushing. Deputy on scene for DOA.

5: 56 pm – Egypt Valley Area. Neighbors are detonating Tannerite according to caller.  Online research reveals Tannerite is a brand of binary explosive targets used for firearms practice and sold in kit form.

6:34 pm – National Road, Pike Lake, Morristown. Female caller reports her husband has a Corrective Order from Belmont County. They are separated. She is fearful he will come by and asks for additional patrols.  

7:52 pm – Bailey Road, Barnesville.  Automatic crash detection alarm.  Deputy dispatched. Negative contact.

9:30 pm – Barkcamp Road, Belmont. Automatic crash detection alarm.  Called back and male answered saying he did not know whose phone it was. Multiple teens playing basketball. One dropped the phone.   

 11:33 pm – South Main Street, Bethesda., Possible underage party includes side-by-sides in roadway. Patrolled with negative contact.   

Sunday, March 1, 2026

12:02 am – Oak Street, Bethesda. Side-by-side driver is unsure of location. Patrol out in area. Unable to locate.

12:30 am – Reco Road, Belmont.  Disabled vehicle. Semi stuck in roadway. Deputy responded. Tow truck called.

8:41 pm – Hendrysburg-Freeport Road. Man reports daughter was with mother; reports she was slapped. Information taken for report.

8:55 pm – Morristown Street, Flushing. Apt. resident reports neighbor’s dog attempted to attack. No need for deputy visit but does want it recorded.    

9:02 pm – Temperanceville Highway, Barnesville. BOLO for a Monroe County stolen vehicle headed north on SR 379. Vehicle crashed at 54912 Temperanceville Hwy., South Central power line down. Tow truck called.

Monday, March 2, 2026

12:40 am – Barnesville Hospital ER, West Main Street. Deputy dispatched for an intoxicated patient.

12:46 am – Woodland Land, Belmont. Union Twp., Elderly resident with dementia setting off alarm. Info collected to contact relatives.    

 9:22 am – Belmont-Morristown Road, Belmont. Female patient with mental health issues. Does not meet “pink slip” criteria for involuntary detention. Patient will return to Cameron, WV, with the person who drove to the clinic.

6:15 am – Belmont-Morristown Road, Belmont. Union Local High School. Suspicious vehicle with visible hatchet and chain. Moundsville-registered vehicle. Sign in window indicates the vehicle is disabled.

9:08 am – Somerset Twp., Jerusalem address. Deputies checking on a male with a warrant out of Monroe County. Man in custody. Transferred to Monroe County at Malaga.

7:29 pm – Smith County Road, Union Twp., Flushing. Deputies out for DOA. Propane heater shut off. Coroner called.

11:32 pm – Morristown Street Apts., Flushing. Neighbor’s dog is aggressive. Owner will not control. Caller referred to animal shelter after report collected.   

Tuesday, March 3, 2026   

8:56 am – Union Local High School. Vehicle stuck in driveway after pulling over to let oncoming vehicle pass. Driver was lost.  Photos taken of ruts and damage .

3:08 pm – Pigeon Point Road, Barnesville. Welfare check on female.

Wednesday, March 4, 2026

2:00 pm – Pigeon Point Road, Barnesville. Welfare check on male. Male agreed to go with EMS.

4:04 pm – New Castle Road, Jerusalem. Alarm Drop. All is okay.

8:23 pm – Special Detail. Welfare check on juvenile who is threatening self-harm. Adults in the residence are aware of the situation.

10:46 pm – Reco Road, Belmont.  Semi stuck in mud. No damage. Tow truck called.
