DubStat Website Lists Top State Frosh Wrestlers
“This year’s freshman class made an immediate impact across all divisions, producing state placers, champions, and key contributors on some of the top teams in the state,” according to the website that lists division “Freshmen of the Year” and All-Freshmen teams.
Leading the way for the site is a Freshmen of the Year in each division, followed by All-Freshman teams for each weight class.
Barnesville’s Ladyn Hines who “won the battle of top freshmen at the state tournament” was named Top Freshman” finishing the season 39-4 with both district and state titles, This earned her the website’s “ #1 pound-for-pound” freshman ranking.
The 115-pound Shamrock wrestler is joined by three teammates as All-Ohio team members. They are:
120 pounds – 2nd: Jaxon Aberegg
126 pounds – Honorable Mention: Bentley Stephen
138 pounds – Honorable Mention: Ryder King
Named to OVAC All-Star Cheer Team
BHS cheerleader Ashlyn Spangenburg will be one of 12 leading cheers for the Ohio Team during the 80th Annual OVAC All Stat Football Game that will take place at the Wheeling Island Stadium on July 18.
