Shamrock Winter Sports Honorees Selected
WHEELING – Several BHS athletes were honored by the Upper Ohio Valley’s daily newspaper chain Wednesday as part of the publication’s annual All-Valley Honorees. They include:
Swimming – Sophomore Liv McCrate was selected as one of two swim team captains for the season. Junior Antoni Scheurle was named to the 2025-2026 team.
Boys Basketball – Senior Ryker Willis was named to the 3rd team roster.
Girls Basketball – Senior Aiva Leasure was named as a member of the 3rd team.
Wrestling – Jaxon Aberegg and Ladyn Hines, both freshmen, were selected for the 1st team.
Junior Colt Carpenter was honored as a member of the 2nd team.
Four Barnesville wrestlers were named to the 3rd team. Freshmen Holt Hartshorn, Bentley Stephen and Ryder King along with Easton Stephen, junior, were selected.
