Shamrocks Beat Zeps in Softball Action

SARAHSVILLE – The Shamrocks were victorious on the road against Shenandoah 10-6 Tuesday evening.

Abygail Ady singled, scoring one run putting Barnesville on the scoreboard in the first inning.

Shenandoah responded as Josie Hooks doubled down the right field line, and Addy Harbaugh flew out, each scoring one run in the bottom of the inning.  

Barnesville regained the lead in the second, scoring five runs on five hits for the score of 6-2. Three of those runs came on a home run by Ella Betts.

In the third frame, Emma Swan homered to left field, scoring three more runs, raising the score to 9-2.

In the fifth, the Zeps scored three on a home run by Allison Crum narrowing the lead at 9 to 5.

One runner from each team crossed home plate for the final score of 10-6.

Betts earned the win for Barnesville allowing nine hits and five runs in seven innings. She struck out five and walked one.

Crum started the game for Shenandoah. She surrendered 14 hits and 10 runs during the game, striking out six and walking three.

Barnesville piled up 14 hits in the game. Swan and Betts each drove in three runs. Peyton Loudin led the Shamrocks with three hits while Roselyne Anderson and Sophie Carpenter each collected two.
