Underground Railroad Museum Hosts Noted Author
FLUSHING -The Underground Railroad Ohio Valley will host author Daniel J. Vance who will meet and greet attendees, take part in a question and answer session, and sign copies of his book, “Rev. John B. Mahan: Ohio Abolitionist, National Martyr.
The event will take place at 6 p.m., Monday, May 4 at the museum located at 121 High Street in Flushing.
Vance’s 232-page book profiles Mahan, who worked alongside Rev. John Rankin, and sparked a national uproar in 1838 due to this unfair Kentucky trial and imprisonment.
