2:23 pm – caller from West Main Street trying to unhook a trailer needs help with traffic control.

3:33 pm – caller states she received a text about a traffic violation. She was advised it is a scam.

8:35 pm – officer had negative contact in attempt to service a warrant on West South Street.

8:53 pm – traffic stop on East Main Street.

10:36 pm – traffic stop on Cherry Street.

11:51 pm – traffic stop on North Street. Warning issued for a headlight.

Tuesday, April 28, 2026

1:58 amcaller from Wiley Avenue reports her black and white Boston Terrier missing. Dog was located and returned to owner.

4:05 am – traffic stop on State Route East 147.

6:30 am – traffic stop on State Route East 147.

6:53 am – caller from Mackey Drive states she just got to the office and noticed the door to an apartment open. Officer reported that the homeowner was asleep upstairs.

10:39 am – caller asked about placing dumpster on East Walnut Street the week of May 1st. It is allowed if the dumpster is parked on the correct side of the street and cones are placed around it.

3:00 pm – officer leaving school to locate two female juveniles who were walking home. Officer located the two and made sure they got home.

4:01 pm – traffic stop on Leatherwood Road regarding a side-by-side.

5:18 pm – caller reporting a scam text.

6:02 pm – officer on Henderson Street for an abatement.

6:15 pm – couple on station reporting a text scam about puppies.

6:20 pm – male on station to file a report regarding a child custody situation.

8:14 pm – wellness check on West Church Street related to a complaint filed about a custody situation. Officer drove by the address and saw cars in the driveway. EMS squad requested.

8:26 pm – caller reports a hit and skip accident in the Family Dollar parking lot. Caller will stop at the station to file a report.

Wednesday, April 29, 2026

12:55 pm – vehicle accident on East Main Street.

1:12 pm – caller states his vehicle disabled and parked at the Antique Mall. He would like to retrieve it on Friday.

2:38 pm – caller reports two dogs have been dropped off on Douglas Road by the airport.

4:14 pm – traffic stop on East Main Street.

4:27 pm – officer on Morgantown Avenue attempting to serve a warrant.

4:41 pm – vehicle accident on East Main Street in front of WesBanco. Air bags deployed, EMS squad requested.

5:33 pm – welfare check on children on Bethesda Street. Officer reports negative contact.

5:33 pm – vehicle on Pine Lane blocking a fire hydrant.

5:54 pm – open 911 call from Hunts Avenue. Person called back and advised she is okay.

6:24 pm – traffic stop on North State Route 800.

9:12 pm – traffic stop on North Chestnut Street near the Elks.

9:22 pm – traffic stop on Hunts Avenue. Male refusing SFFTS (Standard Field Sobriety Test). Tow company requested.

11:30 pm – traffic stop on Shamrock Drive.

11:42 pm – traffic stop on South Chestnut Street. Person detained. Odor of alcohol and empty containers in the vehicle. Tow company requested.

Thursday, April 30, 2026

3:31 am – business check on West Main Street. Officer out for a walk through.

6:28 am – traffic stop on East Main near Bethesda Street. Citation issued for speed.

12:04 pm – caller asks about a scam from Publishers Clearing House.

2:53 pm – two vehicle accident on Cedar Avenue.

3:13 pm – reports of a male riding a dirt bike and driving erratically near West Church Street.

3:54 pm – vehicle lockout.

3:56 pm – report of an accident on East Main Street near the BellStores involving two vehicles. No injuries reported. Tow truck enroute.

6:40 pm – vehicle lockout on East Main Street.

9:47 pm – investigate complaint. Taser deployment.

11:53 pm – officers on Harrison Street involved in a foot chase with a suspect. Camera shows two vehicles with a truck driven recklessly tailgating a car. One person detained. Officer reports the truck was involved with an accident at the Pilot Station.

Friday, May 1, 2026

4:31 am – traffic stop on Bond Avenue.

8:44 am – property complaint on Henderson Street. Officer had negative contact with owner.

9:19 am – 911 called to talk to the officer who arrested the person reported in a previous log.

9:43 am – police assisting EMS squad on East Main Street.

7:34 pm – report of a rolling domestic situation on I-70 West headed to Barnesville. Vehicle is occupied by a male and female. Male is knocking the female’s head off the car window. Officer had negative contact with the vehicle.

7:42 pm – report of a Volkswagen traveling a high rate of speed, cutting off cars on Bond Avenue.

7:43 pm – traffic stop on Walton Avenue related to the previous Bond Avenue log.

8:30 pm– caller reports a motorcycle revving down the hill on Vine Street.

9:35 pm – traffic stop on Bond Avenue.

11:00 pm – door is reported open at the Youth Center.

Saturday, May 2, 2026

9:21 am – vehicle lockout on Park Street.

9:45 am – officer on Railroad Street helping direct traffic as a tree service removes a tree.

10:53 am – traffic stop on South Chestnut Street. Warning issued for speed.

1:25 pm – caller reports there are two juveniles digging into the embankment on Shamrock Drive.

1:33 pm – female caller states that she has a Dalmatian dog that was loose on Railroad Street.

1:39 pm – caller states kids are riding dirt bikes in the high school parking lot. The caller is worried they could cause an accident.

3:54 pm – caller from South Chestnut Street reports there is a female in a Volkswagen acting confused. Officer had negative contact.

6:35 pm – neighbor reports loud music. Officer instructed the homeowner to turn the music down.

8:11 pm – negative contact on Morgantown Avenue to serve a warrant.

9:24 pm – neighbor called back again about loud music. Officer contacted the homeowner and reports no music is playing.

10:11 pm – male and female on station reports they ran over a deer on Route 800 north. Officer removed the deer from the roadway.

Sunday, May 3, 2026

2:22 pm – another complaint about a neighbor playing music too loud. Caller states that she is at her wits end. Officer gave the neighbor a warning to turn down the music or a ticket will be issued.

5:56 pm – traffic stop on North Chestnut Street.

7:31 pm – vehicle lockout on West Church Street.

8:10 pm – caller states he is being threatened with having his head beaten at a funeral tomorrow.

8:28 pm – traffic stop on Joe Jeffers Road.

9:25 pm – traffic stop on East Church Street.

10:11 pm – traffic stop on Bond Avenue.
