Ruth M. Leach

Ruth M. Leach, age 98, of Quaker City, Ohio, died Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Altercare Cambridge. She was born May 11, 1928, in Kahla am Main, Germany, daughter of the late George and Rosa Humm. Ruth was a homemaker who was an excellent cook and seamstress. She enjoyed quilting, flower gardening, and feeding and watching the birds. She also enjoyed watching westerns. Ruth was a very friendly person who loved people and would talk to anyone. She was Catholic by faith.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Arch Neil Leach, whom she married July 1, 1951, and who died January 6, 2024; and one brother, Gerald Humm.

Surviving are her children, Rose M. (Dale) Taylor of Pleasant City and Charles A. (Linda) Leach of Sarahsville; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; one brother, Werner Humm of Germany; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be observed at a later time. McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, is caring for the family.
