Saturday, July 4, 2026
6:06 pm — Reco Road, Belmont. A deputy conducted a follow up and obtained a statement.
9:57 pm — Reservoir Road, Flushing. Caller advised that juveniles were setting off fireworks and threatened them when confronted. When the deputy arrived, the property manager was already speaking to both parties. All parties were advised that the camp prohibits fireworks.
11:06 pm — Reservoir Road, Flushing. Caller reported that the other party threw their corn hole board into a fire. The board wasn’t found until the previous deputy had left. The incident occurred before the first call. There were no witnesses and all who were present denied involvement. The deputy told the two parties to avoid each other.
Sunday, July 5, 2026
12:10 am — Virginia Street, Bethesda. Dispatch received a fireworks complaint. No contact was made.
6:17 am — Harrah Street, Flushing. Caller reported a suspicious vehicle in the roadway. The vehicle was wrecked, Ohio State patrol was sent to respond.
12:23 am — Somerton Highway, Barnesville. Dispatch advised that a man called to report that his wife was home alone and someone was pounding on the door. The deputy made a request to the Barnesville Police Department to send a unit if available. The Barnesville Police Officer advised to cancel the call. The stranger at the door had struck two dogs with their car and was seeking the owner.
11:00 am — Washington Street, Barnesville. Caller reported he was assaulted.
1:07 pm — Noon Road, Belmont. There was a 911 hang up. Contact was made and all was well.
4:33 pm — Jacobsburg. A woman reported a man was trying to get into her house. Two deputies responded and were unable to find a man. The deputies believed the caller had mental health issues. Deputies were dispatched again when the woman said the man was back. The woman pointed to where the man was in the tree line. There was no man. The woman refused to answer questions and denied needing medical help.
10:06 pm — National Road, Belmont. A caller reported that she heard four gunshots and reported that she did not think they were fireworks. The caller has issues with her ex-boyfriend who carries a gun. A deputy searched the area and discovered the neighbor directly behind her house was setting off fireworks. No one was found to be shooting a gun.

8:44 am — National Road, Belmont. A caller reported fraud. A unit was dispatched to collect information.
Tuesday, July 7, 2026
2:33 am — West Captina Highway, Beallsville. A caller reported a man was walking around with a flashlight in the field across from her house. A deputy spoke to the man and and the man said he had permission from the property owner to be there. The caller was advised that the property owner would have to report the man in order to have him removed.
10:58 am — Main Street, Belmont. A caller reported that a live wire was down due to a fallen tree.
12:23 pm — Alledonia-Crabapple Road, Alledonia. Central Dispatch advised that a large fire involving a structure and multiple vehicles was occurring. (Ed. Note: The fire totaled a mobile home located within a salvage yard.)
1:28 pm — Pigeon Point Road, Barnesville. Caller reported that her son was fighting with her and the phone was disconnected.The son was taken to jail.
6:49 pm — Mount Hope Road, Flushing. Two deputies went to serve papers and successfully did so.
6:54 pm — East High Street, Flushing. Two deputies responded to an alarm. The cleaning crew entered the wrong code. All was fine.
11:23 pm — National Road, Morristown. A man texted the caller, breaking a temporary protection order. The messages were not threatening in nature and were related to landlord/tenant issues.
Wednesday, July 8, 2026
5:58 am — Maple Avenue, Bethesda. Dispatch was advised of an unresponsive man in a blue vehicle. A deputy managed to wake up the two men who were in the car.
8:39 am — Brown Street, Belmont. A caller reported that they found a bag with a bottle of pills and a sword. A deputy arrived and collected the bag.
2:03 pm — Belmont-Morristown Road, Belmont. A caller reported a stolen trailer. Within the next thirty minutes, the trailer was found and the thief detained.
3:30 pm — Morristown-Flushing Road, Belmont. A caller reported that they could hear people yelling and children crying. The situation was resolved before the deputy arrived.
Thursday, July 9, 2026
7:14 am — Mill Road, Flushing. Caller reported problems with his girlfriend.
11:46 am — Ogilbee Road, Jacobsburg. A deputy conducted a welfare check. All was ok.
1:19 pm — Plainfield Road, Belmont. A caller wanted to talk to a deputy about fraud.
1:21 pm — Belmont-Morristown Road, Belmont. A caller reported they rented out $6,000 worth of equipment and now the renter now refuses to return them. A deputy was sent.
3:52 pm — Flushing. Deputies responded to reports of a 14-year-old juvenile attacking his father. The juvenile left with his mother.
10:04 pm — Route 40, Union Township. A deputy checked on what appeared to be a disabled vehicle. All was fine, the driver was simply checking fluid levels.
