Agent Orange Awareness Observance

BELMONT – The Tri-State Military Veterans Museum in Belmont will hold an Agent Orange Awareness program at 6 p.m., Monday, August 10, 101 East Barrister street, Belmont.
“Join us for a time of honoring and remembering our country’s military men and women who served in the Korean and Vietnam wars”.
These brave heroes endured much more than the military combat of war; they also endured exposure to Agent Orange, an herbicide contaminated with toxic dioxins that caused severe health effects in both Vietnamese civilians and U.S. and allied military personnel. These ill effects still haunt those who returned from the war, as well as members of their families.
“Join us as we bring to your awareness the great damage – and even death – that Agent Orange brought and continues to bring to our country’s citizens as it reached beyond our military to future generations,” the release noted.
