Bobby Joe Erwin

Bobby Joe Erwin, age 74, of Caldwell, Ohio, formerly of Batesville, died Sunday, August 9, 2026, at the Washington County Home in Marietta. He was born August 13, 1951, in Barnesville, son of the late Roland E. “Shorty” and Jeanne D. Deal Erwin. He was a 1969 graduate of Shenandoah High School and welding school in Jackson, Ohio. Bobby was a retired welder and was employed by Watt Car and Wheel in Barnesville. He enjoyed hunting and fishing at Seneca Lake and loved being outdoors when he was able.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Terra Erwin.

Surviving are his children, Robert A. (Mandy) Erwin of Caldwell, Rikki L. Erwin of Cambridge, and Krystal K. (Sean) Hughes of Byesville; seven grandchildren, Alexis (Nicole) Rieger-Erwin, Addison Erwin, Myles Erwin, Drew Erwin, Simon Erwin, Hunter Kinney, and Caleb Phillips; one great-grandson, Kaleb Phillips; and two sisters, Tammy Erwin and Toni Erwin, both of Quaker City.

There will be no service at this time. McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, is caring for the family.
