Dysart Woods Birdwatching Hike Planned  

BELMONT – The Captina Conservancy will host the first Dysart woods Birdwatching Hike on Sunday, September 6, at 10 a.m. The event is free and open to the public.  

According to the release, “Dysart is home to a diverse population of birds from common warblers to Red Shoulder Hawks and Barred Owls.”

Hikers will follow both the Blue and White trails to see and hear birds who nest both inside the old growth forest and in the wild pasture nearby

Participants are encouraged to dress for weather and to bring their own binoculars/bird calls.

Dysart Woods is located at 61961 Dysart Woods Road off SR 147 southeast of Belmont.
