Barnesville Seeks Police Officer
New Police Chief Matthew Tippie shared news at the August 24 village council meeting that the department is down one employee with the former police chief moving over into the open school resource officer position.
The department is currently seeking applications for the position of Full-Time Police Officer.
“Full-time Police Officers with the Village of Barnesville Police Department perform patrol operations for a coverage area of approximately 5,000 citizens, including a hospital, schools, and numerous businesses throughout the community,” a posting on the village website notes.
The department is offering reimbursement for the Police Academy program for the successful candidate.
