Lorena Marie Borovich

Lorena Marie Burghy Borovich, 90, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died as the result of an accident at her home on Tuesday, March 18, 2025.

She was born December 22, 1934, in St. Clairsville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Marie Ault Burghy and John Reed Burghy.

Lorena was a loving farm wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a former switchboard operator with Bell Telephone (AT&T) in St. Clairsville, a former information desk and switchboard operator with Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling, and a retired employee from the Belmont County Tourism Office. She was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church an active member of the St. Clairsville Senior Center, and a member of the Farm Bureau. Lorena enjoyed gardening, yardwork, using her John Deere Gator for her work around the farm, and she liked her ceramics.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Stanley G. Borovich; a brother, John “Sonny” Burghy; two sisters, Margaret Barchanowicz and Arlene Webb.

Lorena is survived by her three children, Rick (Darbie) Borovich, Becky (John Chase) Williams, and Brad Borovich; five grandchildren, Melissa Sall, Stephanie (Ben) Taylor, Jamie Borovich, Steven Williams, Eric (Karissa) Williams; seven great grandchildren, Autumn, David, Dalton, Weston, Karson, Oliver and Atlas; many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio, where services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m., with Rev. Erica Harley officiating. The burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.

Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Presbyterian Church, or St. Clairsville Senior Center, or Cumberland Trail Fire Department all in St. Clairsville.
