Hee-Haw County Christmas Show – November 21
A host of entertainers will grace the stage on Thursday evening, November 21st, starting at 7:00 for their annual Christmas variety show. The show will take place in the Barnesville High School auditorium for one night only.
Starting at 5:00, food will be served by the Barnesville Junior Women’s Club. The menu, provided by volunteers and friends, will include hot chicken sandwiches, sloppy joes, coney dogs, noodles, green beans, nachos and cheese, macaroni salad, pies, and various drinks.
Scheduled to perform are Mike and Melinda Anderson, Matt Arnold, Eden, Aven and Ensley Steele, Tony and Alana Huntsman and family, Tamara and Johnna Sroka, Jenna McCort, Natasha and Bryar Shilling, Jessica Shaw, Taylor Johnson, Jean Daniels, Dustin Kildow, Eli and Ella Barricklow, June Butler, Lennon Sherman, Jim and Ruth Mayhugh, Savanna Mayhugh, Rick Tincher, Jessica Schoonover, the Hee-Haw Honeys, the Hee-Haw Bums and Trace Roby.
And, Elvis, the Grinch and Olaf will also make appearances. Olaf will hand out treat bags beginning at 6:00 to all children.
Organizers promise to lift visitors’ spirits and put you in a festive mood. The show will provide wholesome fun for the entire family.
After expenses are covered, all proceeds will benefit Brandy Stephens who is battling breast cancer. She has been going through treatments and is expected to also have surgery. The community has united to show love, care and support for the Stephens family as a small token to show our love and togetherness.
A silent auction and sales of holiday earrings will also benefit Brandy’s medical costs.
Discounted tickets are being sold in advance. The price for tickets will be $8 for adults, and $6 for students. All children under the age of five will be admitted free of charge. All tickets at the door will be $10.

Barnesville State Theater Company Monthly Meeting – November 12
The monthly meeting of the Barnesville State Theater Company will take place, Tuesday, November 12 at 5:30. The meeting will take place at the Albert S. George Youth Center, Barnesville Memorial Park.
Friendsgiving Drive By Lunch – November 13
The Barnesville State Theater Company will host a “Friendsgiving Drive By Lunch” at the Barnesville Antique Mall Parking Lot, Wednesday, November 13 from 11:00-1:00. Menu options include:
Glowing Winter Budda Bowl, $7
Harvest Salad, $5
Stuffed Pepper Soup/Roll, $5
Variety of Desserts, $5

Fairview Fire Department Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser – Nov. 17
The Fairview Fire Department will hold a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser at the Fairview Town Hall, 290 Fair Avenue, Fairview, Sunday, November 17 from 12:00 – 4:00, The meal will consist of spaghetti, salad, Italian bread, beverage for $10. Eat in or take out.
Belmont County Chapter, Ohio Genealogy Society Meeting November 17
The monthly meeting of the Belmont County Chapter, OGS, will take place at Barnesville Hutton Memorial Library, Sunday, November 17 at 3:00. The meeting is open to the public.
Barnesville Hospital Auxiliary “Becky Steele” Fundraiser – Nov. 22
Join local sales representative Becky Steele in the lobby of WVU Medicine/Barnesville Hospital for a fundraiser sale, Friday, November 22 from 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Steele will be on hand to sell products from the following national brands: Avon, Stanley, Watkins and Fuller Brush. The sale benefits the Barnesville Hospital Auxiliary.
Pennyroyal Opera House Welcomes Larry Stephenson Band November 22
The award-winning Larry Stephenson Band has been entertaining audiences for 35 years including numerous performances on the Grand Ole Opry, RFD-TV and headlining festivals and concerts across the US and Canada. The group is led by Virginia Country Music Hall of Fame member and 5-time Society for The Preservation of Bluegrass Music in America (SPBGMA) Male Vocalist of the year. They also inducted Stephenson into their Hall of Greats in 2018. With numerous IBMA and SPBGMA nominations and awards, Larry records for his family-owned label, Whysper Dream Music.
A warm-up band to be announced starting the program at 7:00. The kitchen opens at 5:00. Tickets are $20. Children 12 and under free.
The next program on Friday, December 6 will feature the Kevin Prater Band.
Fall Fun Show at Grizzle Ridge Arena – November 23
A fall fun show will take place at the Grizzle Ridge Arena east of Jerusalem at 5216 Grizzle Ridge Road, Saturday, November 23 to support the equine assisted therapy program. The gates open at 10:00 with the show to begin at 12:00 Noon. There are open classes, youth classes and fun show classes.
