Belmont Tourism GAP Grants Awarded

The Barnesville Depot Committee is one of 40 area organizations to receive a 2025 Belmont County Tourism Council GAP Grant. The $5,000 grant award will be used to help remove, repair and return the red roof tiles on the historic train station. The project will cost over $200,000 to complete.
(ST. CLAIRSVILLE) – The Belmont County Tourism Council this past week awarded almost $115,000 to 40 area nonprofits as part of the agency’s GAP (Grant Assistance Program). The successful applications range from special events support to brick-and-mortar projects.
The grants are funded through the Belmont County Bed Tax.
Some local organizations receiving grants posting the good news on social media or websites include the Village of Barnesville, Belmont County History Detectives, Belmont County Historical Society and Watt Center for History and the Arts.
