Judith Ann “Judi” (Spragg) Roberts

Judith “Judi” Ann Roberts, 81, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2025, surrounded by love and leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories.
Born on May 4, 1943, in Harrisville, Ohio, Judi was the daughter of Lois and Harvey Spragg. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1961, then went on to study nursing at the Ruth Brant School of Nursing at Martins Ferry Hospital. Judi launched a nursing career that spanned over 40 years, devoted to caring for others.
In 1963, Judi married the love of her life, Wayne Roberts. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and two wonderful children—Tim and Beth.
She eventually retired from McGraw Nursing Home (Sienna Hills) in Pleasant Grove, Ohio, but retirement didn’t slow Judi down one bit. She and Wayne were always on the go—visiting grandkids in Barnesville and Cincinnati, spending weekends at their camper at Piedmont Lake, or heading to Wayne’s bowling league in St. Clairsville. Wherever they were going, they were going together.
Judi was a proud member of the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church for over 60 years. She served faithfully as Sunday School Secretary/Treasurer and took on many roles within the church community. Beyond the church, she served as treasurer for the Mt. Pleasant Historical Society, a precinct election official, and even held a seat on Mt. Pleasant’s City Council. If something needed doing, Judi was often the one getting it done.
We will forever miss Judi’s can-do attitude, her occasional bossiness, her sense of humor, and her deep devotion to her family and friends.
She is now reunited with her sister Connie Saffell and her parents, Lois and Harvey Spragg.
Judi is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Wayne Roberts of Mt. Pleasant; her children, Tim (Barbie) Roberts and Beth (Murry) Feldstein; her four grandchildren, Shane (Lydia) Roberts, Shasta (Deryk) Ginn, Katherine Feldstein, and Arthur Feldstein; her sisters, Mary (Bill) Sutton and Debbie (Don)Brisentine; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will carry her memory forward with love.
Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 154 Second St. Dillonvale on Monday April 28, 2025, from 10 am till time of service at 12 noon, with Pastor Margaret Hoder officiating, interment at Holly Memorial Gardens pleasant Grove.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to do something kind for your neighbor or volunteer in your community or church. Judi’s thinking was always service above self.
