Cafeteria Open to the Public

The management of WVU Medicine/Barnesville Hospital posted a social media reminder this week that the hospital cafeteria is open to the public.
“Our team serves up delicious, home-style meals every day—and we’d love for you to stop in and enjoy! Whether you’re nearby for an appointment, visiting a loved one, or just in the area, we’re here with fresh food and friendly faces,” the post notes.
Cafeteria hours are:
Monday–Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Saturday-Sunday: 7:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
The menu for the coming week is currently posted on Facebook.
Anderson Obtains Certification

Rana Anderson, DPT, CKTP, a Physical Therapist from Barnesville Hospital’s Rehab Services Dept, recently completed a four-level taping course and is now a Certified Kinesiotaping Practitioner. Rana is available to tape athletic and orthopedic injuries with a physician’s order. Contact the Rehab Services Department at 740- 425-5110 for additional information.
Cowboy Bowl Planned

Charley Lucas and her husband, D.J. Lucas shared at the village council meeting this week that they will open a combination “restaurant, interior design studio and construction showroom” this fall at 112 East Church Street, the building that formerly housed D & J’s Pizza Parlor.
The name of the business will be Cowboy Bowl.
In the weeks leading up to the announcement, Lucas reached out on social media asking for the public’s input for menu selections.
The restaurant will offer “home cooked meats, vegetables, breads, cheesecakes and more. We will have gluten free/dairy free options, as well as vegan and vegetarian ‘Make your own Bowl’ options”, Lucas posted in a social media announcement.
Lucas is currently accepting job applications for all positions. She may be messaged on Facebook.
The grand opening for the business is set for Saturday, September 13 at 2:30 p.m.
Rocks Pizza Shop is Open

Rocks Pizza, Barnesville’s newest food option, opened recently at 123 East Main Street.
The pizzeria is open Wednesday through Saturday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
In addition to pizzas and gourmet pizzas, the menu reveals the shop also sells salads, bread sticks, hoagies and flat bread sandwiches.

PC Plumly Townhomes First Phase Project Complete

Amy Lynn Cales-Ankrom, manager of the PC Plumly Townehomes located off of North Chestnut Street in Barnesville, reported this week that the first phase of renovation/construction at the housing development is completed and management is currently accepting applications for HUD Housing. Call 740-619-0315 for details.
Cales-Ankrom notes that effective July 31 last year, the housing development’s name was changed from Plumly Townehomes to PC Plumly Townhomes. Information is posted on Facebook.
