“Black Gold” decorative glasses by the Lotus Glass Company of Barnesville made perfect Christmas gifts 40 years ago when the popular TV show Dallas was broadcast on CBS. Featuring oil well derricks, a set of glasses retailed for around $25. In this Barnesville Enterprise photo, Lotus employee Mary K. Hinds applied 22k gold trim to a tumbler at the factory that stood east of the train station along the B & O Railroad tracks.
