A dinner benefit will take place later this month in Barnesville to support a resident with cancer.
The cancer benefit dinner for Jay Lucas will be at 2 p.m. Aug. 30 at the Barnesville Elks Lodge. Dinner will be served until 6 p.m. or until sold out.
Couple Arrested on Drug Charges
Thursday, the Monroe County Criminal Interdiction Unit arrested Samuel Rios Maldonado and Esther Vargas, both of Mexico, following a traffic stop along State Route 800 near Malaga.
