The Barnesville Water Department has issued a precautionary boil advisory due to emergency waterline repairs.
Suspect Arrested for Quaker City Bank Robbery
Monday morning Guernsey County Sheriff Jeffrey D. Paden announced that charges of aggravated robbery, a felony of the first degree, have been filed against Robert McFarland of Mount Pleasant, Ohio for the bank robbery on July 25 at the Citizens National Bank branch in Quaker City.

Bequeath Will Fund Vo-Ag and Trades Scholarships
On January 2, 2019, 1954 BHS graduate John H. Borton died at the age of 82. His will directed his property in Oxford Township, Guernsey County, be sold and the proceeds split between the Barnesville Area Education Foundation and the East Guernsey School District.
