(Barnesville Schools Photo) The Barnesville FFA team competed in the District 8 Ag Power Diagnostics CDE (tractor troubleshooting) this past week. They placed 5th out of 13 teams. Team members are Ryland Wehr, Bryson Shriver, Cole Eddy and Zack Mazgaj.
The Barnesville Middle School Honor Roll for the second 9 weeks was released last week.
On February 11th, the Union Local 7th Grade Career Tech classes along with instructors Mr. Meholovitch and Mrs. Kemp, visited an active Ascent wellpad drill site (near Cadiz).
Barnesville Robotics Teams finished their last qualifying tournament this past week. The results area three teams will move on to state competition in March.

Olney Juniors Tour DC The Junior class of 2026 recently visited Washington DC as part of their Junior Humanities and Junior Life After Olney classes.
Representatives from the Belmont County Health Department will be in Barnesville on the afternoon of Wednesday, February 26 from 1:00 to 3:30 at the Barnesville Library Annex, 611 North Chestnut Street.
“Open Highway” is the featured band at the Pennyroyal Opera House on Friday, February 28. The band is built on the traditional bluegrass sound along with solid instrumentation, vocals, and original material. Most of all, the band looks forward to getting the crowd involved in their performance.
Two local residents were featured as part of the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI) Comedy Show with a Twist that took place in Wheeling on February 8.
