The Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley (CFOV) announced the recipients of this year’s River Valley Health Fund (RVHF) grants. A total of $123,628 has been awarded to 14 organizations working to strengthen the health and well-being of communities across the Ohio Valley.
Today, 4-H serves as the United States’ largest youth development organization, supporting nearly six million youth annually as they build lifelong skills and grow into young leaders. However, the beginnings of 4-H can be traced back to Clark County, Ohio, where the first meeting was held more than 120 years ago.
Belmont County will celebrate its long-standing and popular fair this upcoming week with livestock shows, truck and tractor pulls and a demolition derby.
Described as a “Family Tradition since 1849”, the fair board of directors have put on a week’s worth of festivities that bring in thousands of visitors.
This year’s fair will be Monday through Sept. 7 at the Belmont County Fairgrounds, 45420 Roscoe Rd., St. Clairsville. The fair schedule can be found on the Belmont County fair website along with other information.
