Sign-up is now available for $10 million state funding for drought relief from the record breaking drought the region experienced last year. The funding is available for livestock producers enrolled in the USDA FSA Livestock Forage Disaster Program and in a primary disaster area.
The clinic associated with WVU Medicine Barnesville Hospital announced this week extended hours on Tuesday nights and the addition of Friday hours for the walk-in clinic.
At the same time, the clinic announces the addition of a new provider, Jessica Jeffers, Nurse Practitioner.
The monthly Barnesville Chamber of Commerce meeting took place at the New Life Center Wednesday at noon. The sponsor for the luncheon meeting was Northwest Title. Jessica Perkins and Cory Delguzzo shared information about the company with the 39 individuals attending the meeting.
As part of the April 10 Chamber of Commerce Spring Banquet, the group is hosting a “Centerpiece Contest” for area businesses, organizations or individuals.
The featured speaker at the Barnesville Chamber of Commerce Spring Banquet on Thursday, April 10 is Robert Horsey, novelist, screen writer, documentary film maker, and critical care nurse who has dedicated most of his 25-year career to the field of organ and tissue donation and transplantation.
