On October 21, the Barnesville bands and choirs presented their fall concert to a full auditorium of friends, family, and community members. For a third time in as many years, Union Local Schools seeks approval from district voters for additional support for improvements to school buildings and facilities.
While many local contests for villages, townships and school boards are uncontested in the upcoming Nov. 4 General Election, others are hotly contested with multiple candidates seeking a limited number of open seats. In those subdivisions, voter interest is naturally higher.
The Mental Health and Recovery Board of Belmont, Harrison and Monroe Counties want to keep mental health services available in Belmont County as it asks for the public’s support on a renewal levy.
The board will have a 1.25-mill renewal levy on the ballot for the Nov. 4 election. The measure involves no new taxes, as it renews an approved levy.
