Barnesville Area Election Races and Levies

he November 4 General Election is less than a month away. Citizens who are not registered to vote must register by Monday, October 6. Early voting begins Tuesday, October 7 and concludes Sunday, November 2.

Voters wishing to vote absentee must submit ballot requests by Tuesday, October 28.

Election Day poll hours are 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The Belmont County Regional Airport Authority will meet at 2 p.m., October 9 at the office the Barnesville Village Administrator, 126 East Church Street, Barnesville. The airport authority manages the county airport, Barnesville-Bradfield Airport, located west of Barnesville. This is a public meeting.

Belmont County Captina Watershed Will Benefit from Rural Recreation Planning Grant

On Tuesday,  in support of the Trump Administration’s  Make America Beautiful Commission goals, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service, the Appalachian Regional Commission, the Denali Commission, and the Northern Border Regional Commission announced the selection of 25 small and rural communities from across the country that will receive assistance to grow their outdoor recreation economies through the Recreation Economy for Rural Communities program.
