The pumpkin pie baking contest took place Thursday on the Pumpkin Stage. Sixteen bakers competed to be named the best pumpkin pie baker. The judges were Jeff Miller, Mike Potter, and Lynn Spizenski. Top 10 Weigh-Off Winners Celebrate

The Pumpkin Festival weigh-in brought in 21 entries, top 10 winners and Bill Neptune winning the King Pumpkin title.

Five-time winner Bill Neptune, from New Concord, said it felt amazing to win the King Pumpkin title. Initially he thought his pumpkin would only weigh around 1,700 lbs, and after losing three of his pumpkins during growing, he brought his one pumpkin left, which brought him the winning title.

Barnesville residents and those residing within one mile of the village limits were invited to decorate their homes to get the community into the pumpkin festival spirit.
