Cheerleaders Claim State Contest
The Shamrock Cheerleaders competed in the Ohio High School Cheerleading Coaches Association contest in Upper Arlington Sunday. The Varsity squad claimed the crown for Best in State for Game Day Competition.

The Shamrocks will be active this week. Winter sports programs get underway and the Varsity Football Team travels south to take on the Wheelersburg Pirates for Region 19, Division V football semi-final play Friday night.

Barnesville School District Working to Achieve STEAM Designation
The Barnesville Exempted Village School District is looking to earn an official Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) Designation for its effort in hands-on and project based learning.
BHS Career Fair Planned
Kristi Sloan, career navigator for the Barnesville and Union Local school districts, is busy planning the BHS career fair that will take place November 25. Hours for the event are from 9:15 a.m. to 12:30 pm. at the high school gymnasium.
Lydia Fuchs Placed 12th Nationally Patriotic Art Contest
Lydia Fuchs won first place at the Ohio state level of the VFW Auxiliary’s Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest, receiving a $500 cash scholarship.
