Carl Kondrach, Wheeling native who now lives in Barnesville and hosts races, took strides at the Ogden Newspapers Half Marathon Classic Walk in May where he won first place for the walking race. Barnesville’s swim coach Bobbi Jo Johnson resigned after this past season after leading the high school swim team for 25 years.
Johnson began coaching the Barnesville High School swim team in 1999.
Several Barnesville’s girls and boys track team members placed at Regional action Friday and Saturday. Two are moving on to the State Championships.
Four Union Local track team members participated in the Reginal Track Meet Friday and Saturday, May 30-31.
