Barnesville Race Director Walks to First Place in Ogden Newspapers Half Marathon
Carl Kondrach, Wheeling native who now lives in Barnesville and hosts races, took strides at the Ogden Newspapers Half Marathon Classic Walk in May where he won first place for the walking race. Barnesville’s Swim Coach Hangs Up the Whistle at the High School
Barnesville’s swim coach Bobbi Jo Johnson resigned after this past season after leading the high school swim team for 25 years.
Johnson began coaching the Barnesville High School swim team in 1999.
Barnesville Shines at Regional Track Meet
Several Barnesville’s girls and boys track team members placed at Regional action Friday and Saturday. Two are moving on to the State Championships.

Charges rejected by Judge Costine
Western Division Court Judge Eric Costine declined to direct the county prosecuting attorney’s office to charge a Union Local football coach and two police officers for an incident that occurred at a football game in October 2024.
Lady Shamrocks Youth Volleyball Camp
The Lady Shamrocks Volleyball Youth Camp is scheduled for May 28-30, 2025 at the Barnesville Elementary Gym.
