Raven Rocks Winter Hike – February 22

Join the Captina Conservancy for a free guided one- or three-mile hike at Raven Rocks on Saturday, February 22 at 1:00.

Enjoy the winter beauty of Raven Rocks. Free snacks and hot drinks provided.

Raven Rocks, located in Belmont County’s Wayne Township, is located at 54099 Crum Road, Beallsville.

While at Raven Rocks note the ongoing construction of the underground structure known as Locust Hill.

A recent update from Don Hartley about Locust Hill:

“Joel (Rockwell) and I have been working on a set up for getting concrete into the big concrete cylinder at the core of the spiral stairs. Joel collected parts from various places that will support a hoist on trolleys for picking up a bucket of concrete. We set up scaffolding on the second floor on both sides of the balcony to support the aluminum rails. I don’t know if you will be able to figure it out from the pictures, but I think it is going to be pretty good.”
