Victorian Mansion Museum Tours Open
The Belmont County Victorian Mansion Museum has opened its doors for Christmas tours for the holiday season.
The Christmas tours started on Saturday, Nov. 1, and will run until Dec. 21. Operating hours are from 5-8 p.m. on Fridays and from 1-4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Admission is $8 for adults and $2 for students (6-18). Private tours are available for groups of 10 or more by reservation.
This year’s theme features Father Christmas throughout the mansion’s 26 rooms, decorated by local volunteers.
In addition to the tours, Christmas Teas will take place at the museum at 532 N Chestnut St. The teas will be at 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 15, Dec. 12, and Dec. 13. The teas are $25 per person. To make reservations, call 740-310-7093.
The museum is also hosting the Oglebay Institute Theater Group, which will present the play, “Knock, Knock! It’s Christmas,” at 6 p.m. on Dec. 7. The fee for historical members is $20, while it’s $25 for non-members. The fee includes the play, a mansion tour, and light refreshments.
