Pennyroyal Opera House Hosts ‘The Wayfarers’

The first performance of 2026 at Fairview’s Pennyroyal Opera House will feature the Wayfarers. The program is scheduled for January 9.

“Hailing from rural Southeast Ohio, The Wayfarers emerged onto the scene in early 2010 playing their own form of American Roots music. While much of their repertoire is drawn from the Appalachian tradition they revere, The Wayfarers fuse tight musicianship – centered largely by the fiddle – with the high energy that characterized early mountain music, the Pennyroyal announcement states.

“With old-time radio shows setting the example, their style encompasses Appalachian dance music, traditional mountain fiddle tunes, and pre-bluegrass music of the 1920’s – resulting in a dose of nostalgic Americana”.

The opening band on the 9th is Wood & Strings.

The kitchen and doors open at 5p.m, with the show opening at 7:00 p.m.

Tickets are $20 per person, 12 and under are FREE.

The Pennyroyal Opera House operates thanks to a volunteer staff. The venue is located at the edge of Fairview at I -70 Exit 198.
