Brian overcame so many challenges in life with grace, a smile on his face, and a twinkle in his eye. Brian was baptized in the First Presbyterian Church. He attended Easter Seals from the time he was 6 months old, then moved on to the preschool with the School of Hope where he attended until his graduation in 2000. He participated in the Belmont County Special Olympics and remained an honorary fan until his passing. Brian loved attending the swim program weekly, dances at the Resource Center where he would see his favorite DJ, Bob Bandonee. Brian was such a charming person, he remembered everyone he ever met. Brian always had Slinkie in his hands, which gave him so much joy and comfort. He loved attending community events, going to sporting events, especially Ohio State and Barnesville Shamrock football games. He was a proud, honorary member of the Barnesville High School Marching Band. Brian loved listening to his music and going on ‘joy’ rides anywhere. He taught everyone around him patience and resilience. He loved spending time with his niece, Gabby and nephew, Griffin. Brian loved his family with all of his heart.

In addition to his father, John “Jay” Mayberry who passed away on April 1, 2021 he was preceded in death by his uncle, Emery C. Stewart III; maternal grandparents, Emery and Vivian Stewart; paternal grandparents, John and Margaret Mayberry.

Brian is survived by his mother, Susan Mayberry; sister, Stephanie; nephew, Griffin; niece, Gabriella; and aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends. No words can describe how much Brian was loved. He will forever be missed and remembered by all who knew him.
