Frances L Watson

Frances Lee Watson, 84, peacefully entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 11, 1942, at her family home in Baileys Mills, Ohio, weighing just 3½ pounds, a tiny beginning to a life marked by remarkable strength, determination, and unwavering faith.

Frances was preceded in death by the love of her life, her devoted husband, William “Bill” Watson, whom she missed dearly. Together they shared 61 wonderful years of marriage, building a legacy of love, faith, and family.

She leaves behind her loving children, Bill (Nina) Watson and Cathy (Bryan) Morrison; her cherished grandchildren, Michael Roe (Terry Wilson), Dean Mallett, Daniel (PJ) Mallett, Dawna (Joe) Clift, Karla (Dave) Fragale, Kevin (Angie) Watson, Kari (Dustin) Elkins, Lindsay (David Worwa Jr.) Watson, and Tyler (Candice Bell) Watson; as well as several beloved great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, and 4 legged companion, Phebe.

Frances was the daughter of Amy Grace Fulkerson Toohey and Charles Clarence Toohey. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings, including her beloved sister and best friend, Norma Jean Hannahs.

She attended Baileys Mills Elementary School before entering Barnesville High School. In 1971, Frances graduated from Cambridge Beauty College, earning the distinction of maintaining the highest overall grades of any student throughout the school’s history. A gifted entrepreneur with an incredible work ethic, she opened her first beauty salon in 1972. With Bill’s loving support, he built a beauty shop in their home where she faithfully served her clients for many years. Throughout her career, Frances owned and operated Frances Lee’s Beauty Salon, Sunshine Tanning & Video, and LaFrans Boutique. She retired in 2017 so she could devote herself to caring for Bill during his final years, a testament to the deep love and commitment they shared.

Frances will be remembered for her fierce spirit, her generous heart, and her unwavering love for the Lord. She loved deeply, worked tirelessly, and treasured her family above all else. Her strength, wisdom, and faith have left an enduring legacy that will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her.

Though her family grieves her absence, they rejoice in knowing that Frances has been reunited with her beloved Bill and has been welcomed home into the loving arms of her Savior. Her life was a beautiful testimony of faith, perseverance, and unconditional love, and she will be greatly missed until that joyful day when they meet again.
