Union Local Rotary Club ‘Bethesda Car Show’

BETHESDA – The annual Union Local Rotary Bethesda Car Show took place on Sunday, July 12, at Bethesda Park in conjunction with the Epworth Park Chautauqua Festival. 

Dash plaques for participants were provided by Amy Latham, Bethesda State Farm Insurance Agent, and trophies were sponsored by Belmont Classic Cars of Belmont.   

Judges selected winners for the decades 1920 through 2000 along with several specialty awards.

Award winners were:

1920 – 1929 Ford Model A, Buck Howell, owner

1930 – 1932 Ford Roadster, Roger Parker, owner  

1940 – 1947 Plymouth, Gil Daudy, owner

1950 – 1956 Ford Truck, Randy Caldwell, owner

1960 – 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle, Michael Martini, owner

1970 – 1972 Plymouth Duster, Dean Parker, owner

1980 – 1984 Ford Bronco, Teddy Farnsworth, owner

1990 – 1995 Chevrolet Camero, Rick Hamilton, owner

2000 – 2009 Pontiac Solstice, Roxie Eikenberry, owner

Truck – 2005 GMC Truck, Jeff Lucas, owner

Rat Rod – 1926 Food Model A, Luke Fisher, owner

Convertible –1964 Galaxie 500, John Ratti, owner

Motorcycle – 2000 Suzuki, Stephanie Tweedlie, owner  

Import – 1969 Volkswagen Bug, Joyce Howard, owner

Special Interest – 1989 Ford LTD Mad Max, Wade Riemenschneider, owner

Best Entry – 1951 Ford Truck, Bruce & Barb Foraker, owners

President’s Choice – 1966 Chevrolet Nova, Donald R. Hayes, owner
