Centenarian Showered with Affection and Gratitude
A large crowd was on hand Monday afternoon at Emerald Pointe to mark the 100th Birthday Celebration for longtime Bethesda resident Frank Brock.
Those gathered included his grandchildren, several cousins, neighbors and friends and members of Barnesville and Bethesda veterans posts.
Selfies and photos by family and friends were aplenty throughout the day with Brock who was wearing a t-shirt that proclaimed “It took me 100 years to look this GOOD.”
Over 90 birthday cards were mailed or dropped off at the party. More copies arriving by mail now bring the total to more than Brock’s 100 years!
The centenarian’s life was shared in photos by his family on two display boards surrounded by the birthday well wishes.
Thanks to the generosity of Emerald Pointe and two businesses, Chestnut Lanes and Fairyland, pizza, cake and ice cream – strawberry, thank you, Frank’s favorite flavor – were enjoyed by partygoers.
Patriotic songs from Brock’s Navy days serving our nation during World War II were led by Curtis Chamberlain, professional musician from New Concord, who performs live shows throughout the State of Ohio.
