Shamrock Fall Athletes Spotlighted on Senior Night
Before the Barnesville vs Bellaire varsity football game on September 4, the Shamrocks celebrated Senior Night at Shamrock Stadium.
Athletic Director Brad Hannahs announced each senior and their family. As each walked across the field, the crowd heard the senior’s plans for after high school. Recognized seniors included members of the football team, cheerleading squad, marching band, cross country team and golf team.

Football Seniors
Future Plans
- Austin Armstrong: Get a CDL and go to lineman school.
- Kaiden Berry: Earn his welding certificate and obtain his CDL from Belmont College.
- Braxton Byers: Earn a degree in engineering or enter the trades.
- Colt Carpenter: Get a CDL and work with his dad and brother at Northern Pipe Lineman.
- Evan Carpenter: Get a CDL and go to lineman school.
- Joel Detling: Enlist in the military and pursue a career as a drone pilot.
- Phoenix Graham: Enlist in the United States Air Force.
- Christien Hannahs: Attend college and major in petroleum engineering.
- Brody Schaeffer: Attend a trade school to become a carpenter.
- Vince Taylor: Attend college and major in athletic training.
- Trey Toliver: Play football and become a sports med trainer.
- Skylar Werts: Work on the pipeline with my dad.
Cheerleader Seniors
Future Plans
- Baylee Carpenter: Attend Zane State to become an occupational therapist.
- Gracie Eddy: Attend WVU to either become a crime scene investigator or a cardiac sonographer.
- Izzy Reed: Finish her prerequisites at a local college and attend a 2-year cardiovascular sonography program.
- Avery Sustik: Attend West Liberty University to study dental hygiene.
- Kristalyn Watson: Attend college and major in either radiology or physical therapy.
Band Seniors
Future Plans
- Kaitlynn Brown: Learn nail and hair design at Elite Hair Academy.
- Elma Byler: Attend Elite Hair Academy to become a hair stylist and nail tech.
- Lily Doherty: Attend college majoring in political science.
- Dalton Drake: Attend Findley or The Ohio State University to become a pharmacist and work in a hospital.
- Linkoln Jendrusik: Attend The Ohio State University with an undecided major.
- Ayla Strauss: Attend college and enter the radiology program to become an ultrasound technician.
Cross Country Seniors
Future Plans
- Bonita Passmore: Attend college to continue swimming, earn a business degree, and then go to cosmetology school.
- Mason Starr: Attend West Virginia Northern to pursue a career in natural gas compression.
- Makayla Vitale: Become an OB/GYN sonographer while continuing to run in college.
Golf Senior
Future Plans
- Kennedy Little: Attend college majoring in Early Childhood Education and playing collegiate-level women’s golf.
