Organizations Offer Local Food Options
In addition to the many professional food trailers that offer a variety of food items in the downtown festival area, a few local organizations offer delicious food as well.
The Barnesville Senior Center offers lunch food items Thursday and Friday at 227 E. Main Street.
The Catholic Women’s Club of Assumption Church offers lunch Friday and Saturday at the church basement, 306 W. Main Street.
On Sunday, the group will offer a full meal at the church basement beginning at 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. The meal offers a choice of one – roast beef, pulled pork, meatloaf, chicken and rice, lasagna. The meal also consists of salad, vegetable, dessert and beverage for a cost of $15. per meal.
Members of the Shekinah Christian Fellowship church continue a tradition of recent years offering meals along with indoor seating in the heart of the festival at 145 W. Main Street. Home-style à la carte menu items will be available for sale in the main auditorium. Hours are 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. for the remainder of the festival. At the rear of the church, members will offer ice cream and slushies.
After an absence of one year, the Ohio Valley Cattlemen’s Club returns nearby offering beef options at 152 S. Chestnut Street (T-N-T Automotive)
And, after an absence of several years, students and staff of the Olney Friends School return downtown offering the school’s popular pumpkin bread. The school stand will be located next to the cattlemen at 152 S. Chestnut at the intersection of W. South Street.
