Dysart Woods Fall Colors Tour
The Captina Conservancy will host a free Fall Colors Tour at Dysart Woods at 2 p.m., Sunday, October 4.
“Fall has finally come our way and were preparing for a huge change of scenery in the woods. Pretty soon the entire landscape will change from various shades of green to shades of red, orange and yellow,” the announcement says.
“But why do the leaves certain trees turn red and others turn orange? Come with us as we take you on a journey through the forest and learn how the trees prepare for the coming winter.”
Dysart Woods, the largest virgin forest stand in the unglaciated parts of Ohio, is located at 61919 Dysart Woods Road, southeast of Belmont off SR 147.
