Annual Pancake Breakfast Planned
Pancakes, sausage, orange juice, milk and coffee will be on the menu for the Barnesville Kiwanis’s annual pancake day, an annual event that goes back decades to the early days of the local service club.
The Kiwanis Pancake Day will be from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Assumption Catholic Church basement. This is the organization’s biggest fundraiser of the year, with tickets at $10 for adults, $5 for ages four to 12 and free for children under three.
The meal comes on the morning after the Shamrocks final game of the season at neighboring arch rival Union Local.
Advance tickets are available to purchase from Kiwanis Club members, members of the BHS Key Club, or at Blossom’s Flower Shop, 165 E. Main Street, weekdays from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Tickets will also be available at the meal.
Barnesville High School Key Club members will be at the event helping the Kiwanis organization.
The day will also feature a country store, and the club’s popular Christmas ornament walk certificates will be available to purchase. The ornament walk takes place during the Fun in the Ville on December 5.
All proceeds are invested back into the community to support youth projects in the Barnesville area.
