Christmas Market Featured at the Farm at Old World Garden
QUAKER CITY — The Farm at Old World Garden welcomes a Christmas market by an organization and invites the community to enjoy chili, music, support vendors and celebrate the season.
Old World Garden owners, Jim and Mary Competti, will host From Scratch Co-Op’s first ever Christmas market from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 13 at 65780 Pisgah Rd., Quaker City.
From Scratch Co-Op, based out of Cambridge, is a local food community source for information, education, collaboration and opportunity.
The Compettis would like the public to come out and support this “incredible resource to the local community and all the local vendors who will be a part of it.”
They added the courtyard will be filled with Christmas cheer.
The market will feature Christmas by Carson Clouse, chili samples by donation to benefit the angel tree, a gift wrapping station by donation to benefit Maddy’s Cat Rescue and Guernsey County Dog Shelter and door prizes with six baskets filled with vendor products to be drawn every 30 minutes.
The vendors will offer items, such as coffee, candles, bakery goods, handcrafted items, hair tinsels and more. The full list of vendors may be found here.
“When the From Scratch Co-Op reached out about us hosting its Christmas Market, we were all in. They represent everything we love when it comes to local small businesses,” said Jim, and Mary added, “We really hope to add more in the coming years to make the farm and gardens even more festive for the holidays.”
