End of B-Wear Announced
The Biles family, owners of 5Bs, Inc. and B-Wear, the sweatshirt company that once had retail operations in several regional malls as well as a factory outlet at the company’s former plant in Barnesville, announced this week they are shutting down operations.
The Zanesville firm’s retail store in Newark and Bwear.com will phase out. The retail store in Zanesville will remain open as the firm reduces inventory.
Since closing the Barnesville factory that supplied basket liners for Longaberger Baskets in the early 2000s, the company returned briefly to their former factory during the pumpkin festival including this past September.
The Zanesville-based firm, now in its 45th year, according to the announcement will continue production as the “Midwest’s largest embroidery and screenprint company”.
As plans move ahead, information will be shared on the B-Wear Facebook page.
