William “Bill” Ray McDaniel Sr

William “Bill” Ray McDaniel Sr., 76 of Barnesville, OH formerly of Wellsburg, WV died of a broken heart February 15, 2026, at Liza’s Place Valley Hospice, Wheeling, WV. Bill was born August 11, 1946, in Wheeling, WV. He was the son of the late Earl McDaniel and Elizabeth Davis McDaniel. Bill went to Wellsburg High “Go Orange Knights” loved his Steelers, spent time in the USA Navy off aircraft carrier USS Independence CVA 62. He had many jobs after the Navy, including Wheeling Steel, the coal mine and spent the last 24 years at Eagle Manufacturing before moving south and becoming a Pastor of the Nazarene Church including the former Bethesda Church of the Nazarene. He retired many times, but his phone didn’t know it. He preached up till his passing. He tells everyone God blessed him and Maggie, his wife of 32 years, 40 years serving Christ. He had the BEST LIFE. In addition to his parents Bill was preceded in death by his sister Earlene Delator, his daughters Amie Sacco and Holly Wilson, granddaughter Alexus Sacco. Bill is survived by his children Billy McDaniel, Elizabeth Minor, Roger McDaniel (Tonda), and Wendy Palmer (Eric), ten grandchildren: Meraia McDaniel, Chandler McDaniel, Selenia Campbell, Alec (Guy) Sacco, Skyler McDaniel TeVon Minor, Tavion Minor, Ayanna Minor, Jaquan Minor, Gage Palmer, four great grandchildren: Alayah McDaniel, Alahnii Mills, Mateo Minor, Sanoa Cottingham, nieces and nephews also survive.
