Commercial Structure Construction Underway
At the Feb. 9 village council meeting, members approved a building permit for a commercial structure at the corner of Mulberry Street and Watt Avenue, long the location of a concrete slab that was once the floor of an industrial warehouse building.
Dave Wilson of D & S Custom Homes LLC, located in the Mt. Olivett area, received a permit for a structure currently taking shape at the location. The structure will house a garage, office and apartment, the Barnesville Area News meeting report reveals.
From 1916 until 1981, a two-story concrete block warehouse with the address of 349 Mulberry Street filled this space. Read about that building in this week’s Enterprise Album.
