Downtown Group Promotes Barnesville Clean Up Efforts
The newly organized Main Street Barnesville organization, which is affiliated with Heritage Ohio and the National Main Street program, urges area business and business building owners in the historic downtown business district to take advantage of two spring clean up events.
Barnesville/Warren Township Collection at Barnesville Depot, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., Saturday, May 2. This annual event is hosted by the JB Green Team. Additional information on what is and is not accepted may be found via the QR code on the featured image or in a previous Barnesville Area News release.
The second event is the annual Barnesville Schools Community Service Day that will take place Monday, May 4 (rain date, May 13).
Micah Fuchs, superintendent, distributed information on the workday last week.
“Barnesville Schools will once again be giving back to the community through another community clean-up activity. Students from the Elementary, Middle, and High School will participate by assisting local businesses with various house cleaning tasks that can be completed within the constraints of a typical school day. Please be aware that some requests may fall outside the scope of our students’ capabilities, so there might be certain tasks we cannot fulfill.”
“The staff and students of Barnesville Schools deeply appreciate the ongoing support the community generously provides year after year. Therefore, we kindly request you to fill out the attached form, enabling us to appropriately plan for our Community Clean-Up Day on May 4th,” Fuchs said.
The registration form may be accessed at the following link or by scanning the QR Code above.
