Belmont Savings Bank Offers Financial Literacy Class

Employees of Belmont Savings Bank spent time at Barnesville High School this past week teaching freshmen students about “Financial Literary”. 

Lessons learned included.

It’s never too early to learn good money habits! Start strong with these basics:

✅ Budget your money – Track what you earn and spend.

✅ Save early – Even small amounts add up over time.

✅ Debit Card Usage– Smart habits now = financial freedom later.  

Local Business Presents ‘Jam Class’

Barnesville-based Canning Zen is hosting a Jam Class on Thursday, March 6 at the Olney Friends School. The class runs from 7:00-8:00. The cost is $30 per student.  More information on registration is available at Facebook.com/Canning Zen or canningzen.com.    

Ohio Representative Jones Honors J-Mo Meats

Ohio State Representative Don Jones (R-Freeport) recenty introduced an honorary resolution in the Ohio House of Representatives honoring J-MO Meats on the occasion of it’s 40th anniversary. Jones recently presented the document to the Moore family who has owned and operated the local business over the past 4 decades.  The business opened in September 1984 by John and Bobbie Moore.

Barnesville BMV Office Seeks Employee

The Barnesville office of the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles is currently seeking an individual for the team.

“Offers is a position offering steady work with a set schedule. While this is not a state-paid position and does not include benefits, it’s a great opportunity to gain valuable experience. Starting pay is at minimum wage,” the post notes.

Interested individuals are asked to bring their resumes to the Barnesville BMV, 130 West Main Street, to apply in person.
